Just like its neighbor, the Fossettes beach, Fosses Beach is one of the most tranquil and preserved spots on Cap Ferrat. Less frequented, you can enjoy its crystal-clear water, where the shallow depth allows for a serene swimming experience. It is also possible to take advantage of the small pontoon that extends into the water, perfect for laying out your towel to sunbathe. Although there is a shower available, no other facilities disturb the wild nature of the area. An old washhouse overlooks the beach, enhancing the site’s authentic character.

The beach is located at the heart of the Anse des Fosses, a charming little bay that opens up to the Mediterranean. Its crystal-clear water and preserved seabeds make it an ideal spot for snorkeling. With a mask and snorkel, you can explore the rich marine biodiversity of one of the most beautiful bays on the Côte d’Azur.

These strange stone blocks off Fosses Beach

From your towel, you will surely notice offshore four strange blocks of stone and cement emerging from the water. These imposing remnants date back to 1901, when the quarry at Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat provided stones for the jetty of Port Hercule in Monaco. At that time, seven pillars supported a dock where wagons transported the rock to the boats. The activity ceased in 1920. Today, only four of these pillars remain, witnesses to an industrial past forgotten in this now peaceful setting.

It offers stunning views of the Mediterranean and reveals prestigious villas hidden among the pines. Continuing beyond the lighthouse, you will also discover small hidden coves with charming swimming areas.
