At their base, palm trees and pines gradually give way to a vast expanse of gravel stretching to the clear waters of the Mediterranean. Everything is designed to ensure the comfort of bathers. A long mat is installed on the beach, allowing easy movement without burning your feet. Showers, toilets, a lifeguard station, and a jellyfish net ensure everyone’s safety and well-being.

A few steps from the water, Petite Afrique beach has a vast shaded area. Ideal for families, this space allows you to enjoy a picnic in the shade of the pines. If you haven’t brought food, no problem! The private beach Baia Bella offers a snack area where you can get something to eat. You can also enjoy the shade provided by the pines to rest or play a game of paddleball between swims.

Depending on the sun’s position, you might even get to play in the shade of the pines surrounding the court.

If you’re looking for a peaceful spot where your pets are welcome, head to the east side of the beach. There, you’ll find a quieter area with small pebbles and pine trees providing shade by the water’s edge.

How to get there ?

  • From the port of Beaulieu-sur-Mer : follow the road along the quay until you reach the parking lot. The beach is located at the end.
  • From the parking lot by the roadside : go down the stairs to reach the seafront. Then, follow the path to your right along the water's edge.

  • Paid parking at Petite Afrique : located near the port of Beaulieu-sur-Mer. It’s advisable to arrive early to easily find a spot.
  • Free parking : located on the right side of the road towards Monaco, just past the beach.

  • Beaulieu-sur-Mer train station (about a 15-minute walk)

La plage de la Petite Afrique offre des conditions très avantageuses pour les familles. Grands espaces pour se défouler, zones ombragées pour pique niquer, bien équipée et surveillée, elle séduira aussi bien les parents que les enfants. Les paysages somptueux offrent un cadre idyllique pour se détendre, tandis que les gravillons qui composent la plage apportent un certain confort. Cependant, selon les conditions, l'eau peut être un peu trouble et pas aussi limpide que sur d'autres plages du secteur. Malgré les deux parkings à proximité, il sera difficile de trouver une place si vous n'arrivez pas tôt en période estivale. Ceci dit, la gare ainsi qu'un arrêt de bus se trouvent à proximité de la plage.
