Grasseuil Beach in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat

Located in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Grasseuil Beach nestles in the charming Espalmador Bay. Sheltered from view, it offers a peaceful atmosphere with a stunning view of the Rade de Villefranche-sur-Mer. This small, discreet beach blends pebbles and gravel, with occasional deposits of seaweed in certain areas. No facilities are available on-site, which enhances the preserved character of the place. To the left, beneath the colorful facades of the houses, a multitude of small private piers extends into the water. Every summer, bathers come to lay their towels and enjoy the sunshine.

Swimming Conditions

The water is clean and clear, with occasional seaweed depending on the area. The depth is relatively shallow, gradually increasing. The seabed is made up of pebbles and rocks, which can be uncomfortable.

Activities

Grasseuil Beach is well-suited for paddleboarding. If you have a board, you can explore the Espalmador Bay as well as the Rade de Villefranche.

Access and Parking

The beach is accessible from Avenue de Grasseuil, at the entrance to Cap Ferrat. A narrow path will lead you to small stairs that descend to the shore.

There are few parking spaces nearby. We recommend looking along the railway line, a few meters above the passage leading to the beach.

Additionally, the beach is accessible by bus via line 15, stop “Pont Saint-Jean / Grasseuil.”
