About Larvotto Beach
The Larvotto Beach in Monaco is the only public beach in the principality. Located at the foot of the towers, it is bordered by a pleasant pedestrian area and numerous shops. With its small gravel, the beach is not necessarily very spacious, particularly due to the terraces of beach clubs. The atmosphere is both calm and lively, with a reassuring sense of security. Well-equipped, it features showers, toilets, and an anti-jellyfish net that stretches across the entire beach. Additionally, specialized facilities for people with reduced mobility are available.
Swimming Conditions
The water is clean and clear, with a moderate depth. The seabed consists of gravel, and swimming is supervised in the summer.
Activities
If you enjoy water activities, a floating platform offshore allows you to jump into the sea. Additionally, there is a children’s playground on the esplanade overlooking the beach. You can also go shopping in one of the shops along the Larvotto promenade, beside the beach.
Access and Parking
You can park your vehicle in the underground Larvotto parking lot (paid), located just above the beach.
If you are traveling by train, you can take bus line number 5 from the station to the “Plages” stop.
Our Opinion on Larvotto Beach
Pros
- Clean and well-equipped
- Calm atmosphere
Cons
- Lack of space during peak periods
Overall Impression
Larvotto Beach reflects the rest of the principality: clean and secure. However, the lack of space during peak periods can be an issue. If you’re looking for a more comfortable spot, we recommend the Marquet Beach in Cap d’Ail.
