Marinières Beach in Villefranche-sur-Mer

Nestled in the heart of Villefranche-sur-Mer Bay, Marinières Beach is the most popular in the town. With its sand and gravels, it stretches over 700 meters, gradually giving way to some larger pebbles. Despite its length, it is quite narrow, leaving little space for visitors during peak times. Very busy in the summer, this lively beach attracts families and young people from the surrounding area. Indeed, it is the closest sandy beach to Nice. In addition to its exceptional natural setting, it is equipped with showers, toilets, a lifeguard station, and a beach club. From the shore, you can admire the ochre façades of the old town as well as the stunning landscapes of the bay.

Swimming Conditions

The water is clean and clear, with a seabed made up of sand and gravels, as well as larger pebbles on the left side. The depth gradually increases, allowing you to stand in the first few meters. Additionally, in the summer, the swimming area is supervised.

Access and Parking

After following the seafront to the east of the village, you can park your vehicle in the Marinières parking lot. Parking is paid, with spaces along the beach and a larger area at the far end.

The beach is also accessible by train. Indeed, the Villefranche-sur-Mer train station is just above. From there, take the stairs down to the shore.
